Batgirl takes on Mr. Zsasz in this one shot. Delving deep into both the psyche of Zsasz and the cunning mind of Barbara Gordon, this tale shows Batgirl finally gaining Batman's acceptance, but what should have been a proud moment became more difficult. An excellent tribute to the hero she once was (in contrast to the hero she is now).
Puckett spins a great yarn, but the art by Balent and Burchette seemed to "animated" at times. Brian Stelfreeze should have done it. A good read though.
Probably the best of the Girlfrenzy week both artistically and written, Donna Troy, (ex-Titan Wonder Girl, ex-Darkstar, formerly Troia) in a framing sequence, must deal with the death of her ex-husband and child by having a (rather one-sided) chat with God. The other story deals with Donna remembering a battle she had with the Red Panzer and a group of neo-Nazi's in the midst of a Holocaust rememberance march. During the battle, the Panzer takes out both Wonder Woman and Captain Marvel, and Troia, applying too much force accidentally kills the villain.
It's a beautiful story dealing with the many forms that hate takes, and the different ways people act and react because of it. Credit goes to Jimenez who proves himself capable of more than just pretty faces.
