the big one speaks your language.
got measured for a tux today, four months and change prior to actually wearing it. this will mean naturally that figures are subject to deviating once the weather warms up, i get into the entire biking thing again and the reality of the younger bro getting married sinks in.
meanwhile, after running away from the big department store, overeager to sell overpriced goods, i encounter these large numbers along park avenue, that look like the same font used in that classic LOVE design. turns out they're done by the same fellow: robert indiana and this is the first time these numbers have ever been shown in public.
handy too, since they match up with the 60 streets along park. my only wish is they'd spend the time to make proper pedestrian signals along the north-south sidewalks, which means you have to pay attention when crossing. a minor point, for sure, but every other part of the city is well designed for foot traffic. park avenue north of grand central only has an esplanade going for it, one that you can barely walk around too.
c'mon, you banks!
not everyone drives!
share the love!
