the plan last night was to see the hidden cameras open for the slideshow family at the mercury lounge, but i doddled getting the tickets and the show was old all solded-out. graig will kindly point out that this is probably the 6th time i've missed the hidden cameras and he even told them to expect me there last night. argh...
so, instead, i saw 25th hour last night, which was quite a freaky mirror to put up to the city. bit of an outside call for me, since i need to get fitted for a tuxedo. it's my brother's wedding in july, but he needs the measurements, or he needed them last week and i haven't had a chance to get tailored yet. not to say i haven't tried, but i guess i have to do that pronto tomorrow. that and see two towers after finally seeing the fellowship of the ring over the weekend, kicking myself for not seeing it before.
meanwhile, in true news, this monday has my first real true doctor's appointment in ages, including my first medical/physical in 12 years. which will most likely be humiliating in many ways, but at least i'll get to know what this shell has become during that time. this will also be my first HMO experience, casting aside my canadian history with universal health care. this could be an adventure, but i figure the challenging one won't be until i see a dentist for my first x-rays in 3 years. that'll be a nightmare and a half.
