nothing like dealing with the annual village voice pazz & jop musical review to understand the usual overwhelming aspects of music out in the world. i finally picked up the latest beck sea change (used), which came 2nd to wilco's yankee foxtrot hotel. not that i use the list as litmus for how cool i am, just an idea to see how people interpret what they hear and what i may missed or passed judgment on earlier.

of course, some of us have already moved to 2003's music. the monkey has my review of massive attack's latest album, which looks to be a creeper like their past albums, but is quite different already. i bought 4 other goodies as well, but i still have to sort through them, along with everything else i haven't touched yet. many a book, i'll tell ya.

that, and it's time to brush up my scottish brogue again. if i looks like the renton, i gots to talk like the renton as well - it's what the ladies ask for.
