continuing with our animal theme, cbc news reports that the toronto zoo is currently exploring the possibility of using animal waste as a possible power source. apparently a few european zoos have successfully implemented this and the animals at the toronto zoo apparently generate 1900 tonnes of the smelly shite every year, but it only seems to generate enough power for a building or two. not exactly enough to live off the grid, but it's something anyways.
